Mesmin Watat Djanga is a Government-certified Architect and Urban Planner (D.P.L.G.), with over 35 years of experience in architecture, urban planning and housing in Cameroon. A graduate of the Paris Tolbiac School of Architecture and Urban Planning in 1988, he began his career as a junior architect at the Jacques Chabrol firm in Sceaux, in the Paris region, before joining the Urban Community of Douala in 1992, which he left six years later as Head of the Urban Planning Department.

In 1995, convinced that an architect can only truly thrive by working with private clients, he founded and now leads the C.A.I.U. SARL firm in Douala. His practice is guided by a vision of architecture rooted in African realities and cultural heritage, favoring built spaces that respond to local ways of life and to the social and climatic dynamics specific to the local context.
